Evergreen shrub better known as Holly, native to Europe and Asia. Bright green foliage, numerous creamy white flowers, bright red berries. Rustic, undemanding in terms of soil, although it prefers well-drained, slightly acid soil. Resistant to cold, tolerates pruning. Ideally in half-shade but also in northern sun.
